The House
The "guest house" was born out of the wishes of Massimo and Leda Violati, who with great love have restored the building that housed the ancient Stazione di Posta in San Gemini and whose ground floor was used to give shelter to horses until World War II.
It is said that Giuseppe Garibaldi and his wife Anita passed the night of the 12 th July 1849 here, during the escape of his army from Rome to Perugia.
The original idea was to offer appropriate and comfortable accommodation to the students and teachers that during the past years have been illuminating San Gemini with their presence, while following the courses for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural and Artistic Heritage and of archaeological excavation at Carsulae. The courses are part of the “San Gemini Preservation Studies” program, fostered by “Associazione Valorizzazione del Patrimonio Storico San Gemini Onlus”.
On the first floor there are stylish rooms filled with light. Shapes and colours magically surround all the interiors, creating an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.
In the future we are planning a multipourpose hall for educational activities, conferences and meetings.
